Alan Nicholas is a West Texas native, raised in Sonora, Texas. After completing his Juris Doctorate at Texas Tech School of Law in 2007, he began to practice criminal defense in the Texas Panhandle. He subsequently became a member of the New Mexico State Bar in 2009, and practiced criminal defense in Hobbs, NM, before moving with his family to Monahans, Texas in 2010. From 2010 through August 2023, he served as a prosecutor in Ward County, as well as the elected County Attorney for almost 6 of those years. He’s now returned to his original passion of seeking justice through criminal defense, with 15 years of experience in the field.
