0:00 Jason: “I was charged with three counts of family violence. That was a crazy time. Honestly, I almost just took the charges and stayed in jail. Uh, luckily I didn’t; I got bailed out. I was not allowed back into my home”
0:00 Jason: “because the incident happened at my home. So I was living in a hotel at the front of the neighborhood for like a week while I tried to figure out what I was gonna do. I wasn’t sure if I was gonna be looking at more jail time, you know, probation, you know, uh, what was gonna happen.”
0:00 Jason: “Just that whole week, you know, after getting out of jail was a very unsure time. I decided to cash in a 401K plan and use that money to hire a lawyer and, uh, definitely ever since I made that phone call the weight was lifted off my shoulders,”
0:00 Jason: “you know, and I had a sense of hope about the situation; that it wasn’t gonna get any worse than it already had. From the moment I made the phone call was just like ‘okay, this is handled,’ and then just the reassurance that ‘we take cases that we feel like we can win.’”
0:00 Jason: “I was like okay, now I can focus on other areas of my life, this is taken care of. So yea, they really just kinda took the wheel from there. It’s been what like a week or two and every day it’s just like ah I have to take a breath and just like ah appreciate”
0:00 Jason: “the liberation. [laugh] If I’m gonna go to a lawyer, you know, I want the best people who are, you know, the masters of their crafts and I really feel like that’s what I got.”
