Marion is a Lubbock native who returned home to continue his calling as a trial lawyer with Texas Criminal Defense Group.  He graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University with a mechanical engineering degree  Marion then obtained his law degree from The University of Texas, graduating with honors.  After law school he joined a trial team based in Houston that handled some of the largest product liability cases in the nation.  Marion has used that experience plus knowledge gained in representing parties in hundreds of other litigation matters to establish himself as a top-tier Texas trial lawyer.

Marion’s practice is focused on criminal defense, but he has also litigated many cases in civil and administrative law.  He has extensive experience resolving disputes involving personal injuries, product liability, intellectual property, fraud, contracts, employment, and agriculture.

Marion is also an accomplished appellate lawyer and has successfully handled appeals before various districts of the Texas Court of Appeals, Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Texas Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and Supreme Court of the United States.

In addition to his work for the firm, Marion teaches at the Texas Tech University School of Law as an Adjunct Professor and works as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Scouts BSA.
