Morgan is a Midland, Texas native. She graduated from Midland High School in 2001 and attended Midland College where she began paralegal studies. She soon gained employment as a paralegal at a criminal defense firm in Midland. She later became certified as a paralegal by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
While working as a paralegal, Morgan attended University of Texas of the Permian Basin where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, majoring in History. She then attended law school at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. After passing the bar, Morgan worked as a family lawyer in San Antonio before returning to her criminal law roots in 2017, splitting her time between San Antonio and Midland.
She returned to Midland full time in 2020. Shortly thereafter, she accepted a position as an Assistant District Attorney in the misdemeanor division at the Midland County District Attorney’s Office. Morgan was quickly promoted to the felony division. After two years as a prosecutor, Morgan returned to defense work.
Outside of the courtroom Morgan enjoys spending time with her family, as well as cooking and gardening.
